In particular, it is important that your household have a stock of emergency supplies, an evacuation kit, and an evacuation plan, for a hurricane, tornado, and/or flooding event, since they will differ based on the type of hazard. You should discuss and practice the plan with your family once a year, or whenever there is a major lifestyle change (for example, when a member of the family goes to a new school or is working in a different location).
